Ajman Tourism organizes a travel roadshow in the UK
The Ajman Department of Tourism Development organized its first roadshow for travel agents in the United Kingdom to highlight the emirate’s leading position in tourism, and promote its thriving tourism environment as a result of new investments in entertainment, hospitality, culture, arts, and adventures spanning across all vital sectors.
Participating in the roadshow which was held in Preston, Manchester, and London, was a delegation headed by the Ajman Department of Tourism Development and included the Ajman Saray a Luxury Collection Resort, the Oberoi Beach Resort Al Zorah, the Fairmont Ajman Hotel, the Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel.
The delegation held meetings with many representatives from the tourism industry, service providers, and travel agencies where it showcased a detailed presentation of the emirate’s tourism capacities and promising opportunities to further attract more tourists from the United Kingdom which is considered as one of the main feeder markets in Ajman.
The delegation also shed light on the emirate’s prominent projects and destinations such as the Ajman Museum, the Masfout and Al Manama regions, and the Al-Zorah area which is famous for its mangrove trees.
This tour comes as part of Ajman Tourism’s strategy to improve the tourism experience in the emirate, promote its entertainment activities and various outdoor activities, in addition to introducing the innovative initiatives and leading services that the department is continuously launching to achieve its vision of setting the emirate of Ajman as a leading tourism destination in the world.
It is to be noted that the emirate of Ajman has achieved a remarkable growth of 81% in the number of international arrivals from UK in 2022 compared to the previous year, while the total number of room nights of UK visitors (residents and non-residents) has increased by 34% during the past year as compared to 2021.
His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Department stated: “The British market has always been an important source market for Ajman, and the significant growth it has witnessed last year incited us to invest more efforts and involve our local partners in these promotional tours to achieve mutual benefits and further enhance our tourism sector.”
His Excellency added that the UK roadshow aims to achieve our vision of offering a diverse experience to our visitors which will secure the prosperity and sustainability of Ajman’s tourism sector. His Excellency also stressed that this tour is an indication to the department’s efforts in approaching new global markets and attracting a wider range of tourists by shedding light on the enticing touristic landmarks and variety of entertaining, cultural, and outdoor activities it has to offer to all age groups and interests.
